From the Island of Tenedos (Bozcaada in Turkish) this wine is an unusual blend of 47% Merlot, 33% Syrah, 11% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc, aged for 16 months in French oak, 14.5% ABV. It is rich, dark and deep in its flavors, sun-drenched but not jammy, with complex, red and black fruit and a box full of Mediterranean herbs and spices, velvety and full but not unwieldy, with a lovely freshness and with ripe tannins providing just the right amount of grip. An ambitious and well-made wine from the most prestigious producer on the Island. Ripe, powerful yet  clean, the energy and balance of this wine should allow it to age well.
