Since 1955, the owners of the tiny Chateau Reine Blanche in St. Emilion are the Despagne family. The director and Winemaker is Francois Despagne, one of the best young winemakers of Bordeaux. The estate is located in the north-west of Saint-Émilion on the border with Pomerol.
65% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc. This wine tastes of concentrated red berries and fig, with scents of rose, peony, and grilled almonds. In the mouth, aromatic richness is supported by a powerful structure, with silky and finely woven tannins.
Wine Profile
Château Reine Blanche makes the perfect companion for beef dishes, braised lamb, duck in orange sauce, brie, camembert & other creamy cheeses.
