The 2016 Yarden Sauvignon Blanc is produced exclusively from the Sauvignon Blanc grapes by the Golan Heights Winery in northern Israel. It is a light, almost transparent, colored wine. It has a nice nose, with a taste of lemons, apples, canteloupe and a touch of grassiness. This wine is aged in French oak barrels for 2 months. The wine is really nice in the mouth, medium bodied and dry. The acid is a bit strong with lots more lemon lime flavors in the mid palate. The finish is strong and acidic, dry and mouth coating. This is a great food wine for pasta or even something a little heavier like chicken. Kosher for Passover - Non-Mevushal
