Wine Description

This blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 40% Touriga Franca and 20% Tinta Roriz is crushed by foot in traditional granite lagares. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels (30% new) for 14 months.

Tasting Notes

This blend showcases the disctinctive character of each grape involved. Touriga Nacional provides the base of this wine, adding characteristic color and tannin as well as noticeable red fruit aromas such as blackberries. Touriga Franca brings a suggestion of mulberries and roses, which adds an exotic quality to the wine. Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) softens the wine, making it velvety smooth. A unique blend which highlights the character of the Douro region.
